Covid testing available by appointment ONLY

 The Cooper County Public Health Center has Covid testing available by appointment ONLY. Individuals will be interviewed over the phone prior to receiving an appointment time. Options for testing is the following:1.

1. Rapid antigen testing. Results in 10 minutes. The test will detect acute and past infection. HOWEVER, the test is dependent upon how fast your body produces antibodies to the virus. Antibody response is not as quick as using the PCR nasal swab that detects the virus ANTIGEN.

 2. PCR covid antigen nasal swab testing through Lab Corp.

Results take 4-5 days.

Testing at the Cooper County Public Health Center is FREE. Individuals are tested in their vehicles. Call the Cooper County Public Health Center for more information and to receive an appointment. 660-882-2626

For testing elsewhere:

MU -North Campus (off Business Loop) drive through clinic and Boone Hospital clinic both PCR nasal testing available. Results take 24 hours approximately to return.

Individuals are EXPECTED TO QUARANTINE while waiting for PCR covid antigen tests regardless of testing site.
